Breathtaking Papagoite in Healed Cascading Twin Quartz Crystal (M10908) $680.00

Papagoite is an extremely rare mineral that has only been found in a couple of locations worldwide. The most famous find is in the Messina mine, from which this crystal originates, in the Transvaal area of South Africa, well known for its rare cousin ajoite. Papagoite is well known for its rich blue color, likened to the hues of azurite or lapis lazuli, it appears slightly lighter in color when included in quartz. From the Messina mine, papagoite forms in phantom layers within quartz. This beautiful mineral appears in several places throughout this crystal, most notably in the twin peaks of the main crystal. Two of the larger companion crystals also have a touch of papagoite, and small inclusions can be found throughout the crystal too.

The twin crystal has a misty white phantom at her heart, closer to the surface are reddish orange phantoms that tinge the crystal pink in some areas. A large record keeper can be found on one of the faces of the twin too. The twin crystals are surrounded by a cascade of smaller student crystals like a lightbrary crystal. Their base has ample self-healing, with new faces emerging with elestial like formations. There is an old bruise on the side the twin crystal that has also begun to heal, besides a couple of minor nicks and a rough area that down one side, this crystal and its companions are in very good condition.
