This is truly a gorgeous tri colored elestial. It has a super shiny surface that give the camera a difficult time with the small details of this piece. The intricate etchings are truly gorgeous! It is almost as if there are two different elestial formations melding into one. The part that makes up most of the elestial is light smoky quartz, with deeper smoky accents, and in the core amethyst wisps. Melding into that is a bright white elestial formation that has smoky accents. This piece is full of optical illusions too, you can literally get lost looking at and within this crystal. It helps one with their perceptions of what is true, and teaches one to question information and not take what is being said with blind faith. They remind one that having a dose of skepticism is not necessarily a bad thing. It encourages one to find the real truth of the matter. They help to clear the cobwebs of the mind, and keep one on an even keel. They help you to evaluate all sides of an issue and help you learn to trust your intuition. Smoky Quartz is almost a default crystal in any crystal layout. It is grounding, protective and can transform negative energy into positive energy. As one friend put it to me, Smoky Quartz is good for humans, because we are currently quite murky beings ourselves! It is a very joyful crystal. It is helpful to hold if you have other crystals that UN-ground you such as Moldavite.
