This sphere has beautiful contrast of light and dark hues.  You can see the "growth rings" of the stalactite that this sphere was polished with some delightful speckled and lacy areas evocative of malachite's botryoidal formation. The sphere has been hand polished and has some natural undulations to the surface. There is one minor surface flaw that was natural to the stone and was not filled. Known as the "stone of transformation" malachite has a balancing energy that removes obstacles that get in the way of desired goals. This sphere is petite enough to be carried in a pocket or bra and/or can easily be held in your hand. Solid malachite spheres are unusual to come by, as it's not easy to find a large enough piece of malachite to carve. Most malachite spheres you see are composite, meaning they are assembled from the leftover pieces and held together with a green resin. Economically those composite spheres are great collector pieces, but the energy leaves a lot to be desired. Because of this, we always hold out for solid spheres.
